Reverge Studios Internship: Week 9 and 10
Once again combining these two weeks, as they both mostly deal with finalizing the environmental soundscape! After finalizing the first draft, we had decided that the initial sounds provided for the soundscape simply were not enough. So I spent a couple of days re-working the ambience to make it more immersive and less exhaustive to listen to for long periods. After this, I redid the scripting from the ground up to be attached to a blueprint as opposed to a raw Metasound. This allows for far more control over layers, panning, location, attachment, basically everything required to make a more complex soundscape. I also learned about audio occlusion and its many settings. Also its many bugs. I Found and fixed bugs related to occlusion triggering at the wrong times, except for one related to the improper position of the player collision box.
