Reverge Studios Internship: Week 2
The first week and a half of my internship has started off in a bit of a different way than I anticipated. The first entire week was spent learning their task management system, ClickUp, and the agile management style. It's something super different than what I am used to, but I can understand why its useful in a game development setting. With so many moving parts, its super important to keep everybody on the same page with one another. Other than standard tasks,, I've been assigned to begin research on how to build Metasounds and place them in world in Unreal Engine 5, which is the engine we are using for this project. So far, I've figured out the basics of adding sounds, and how to spatialize them within the world. These two aspects are put together inside a Metasound, which seems to be a fairly complex audio management system build into UE5. But for now I've been told to stay away from any coding or blueprinting, and to see what can be done with just basic sounds and attenuation.
